nobikaigan -> Fatal error CTD (11/24/2012 6:11:41 PM)

During AI turn the game freezes and a pop up window entitled 'Fatal Error' appears with the following text.
"[C]:-1(globalerror):34:stack overflow

Happens everytime I load the save game, either the autosave endturn or the save file I made just prior to end turn. It happens as the AI is 'looking' at trhe Suez situation.

I uploaded the save.

Thanks for the report nobikaigan, we're able to reproduce and are looking into it.

nobikaigan -> RE: Fatal error CTD (11/25/2012 12:25:38 AM)

FYI after a few tries I was able to start approx. 1 turn back from an old save and I guess just doing things a little differently made the CTD go away...

***BUT***

I had already received a reply from the Devs and they said the bug was found due to my report and save file. They even sent me a file that would allow me to continue my saved game.

^ Now thats what I call good service. [&o]

Thanks a lot!

I got the "Fatal Error" a few times in the last hour, once after doing my turn and then trying to upload it (the upload wheel spun for a while and then froze), and then I got it again when I tried to join (it got stuck at the 'registering serial' part).

Now it gives me a new error message that uses an in-game box (looks different to the standard C++ dialogue box) that says "Error pbm_15"

(Note from the above, if it wasn't obvious - this was in a multiplayer game)

Ok, that sounds like a different error. Could you let me know who you were playing? Do you have a copy of the game log from the crash?

Ah, I see from the other thread that this is related to the Slith server issue. If you still get the error let me know.

Thanks, it seemed all good after the Slith forum/server came back up.
