rmdesantis -> Screen resolution (11/30/2012 8:12:39 PM)

I am having some difficulty getting the screen resolution working properly (as I see it). I have a Win8 laptop, whose maximum resolution is 1380x768. I set this resolution for the game, but what I appear to be getting is 1024x768. That is, my screen is only one small part of the battlefield. I have played CC games on other machines with the higher resolution and I get much more of the battle field in the field of view. To test my theory, I set the game resolution to 1024x768 and it is identical to what appears at the higher resolution.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but can't figure out what. Any thoughts?

Mike

make it windowed, in the options there's a tick box

That doesn't work. The window box is checked, but it runs in full screen mode. I can minimize the screen but have no ability to resize the window.

The scale of PTIF has changed so it looks like you are zoomed in...... and plays like you are zoomed in only seeing a very small part of the map at a time.

The non battle screens are 1024x768 only when you are in battle does it use a higher resolution. If Windowed Mode is on and the game and screen resolution match the Windows task bar will be seen if it is set to not auto-hide. If the game resolution is lower than the screen resolution then it will run in a window.

Why can't the battle screens be in a higher resolution in full screen mode?
