Tyrador -> PROBLEM with Automation in late game (12/17/2012 9:36:21 AM)

There is an apparent problem with automation in a late game. Basically at some point of the game it suddenly starts to extremely lag, all research is stalled, all private ships do nothing, auto taxation and other options stop to work as well. Usually it goes after I conquer enemy's capital planet.

I have no idea how to resolve this in my mod. I have checked every inch of it, for almost a month now. I have found that if I remove race using editor, then everything goes normal again. But after a while it repeats.

Any ideas?[:D]

it sounds like a system memory issue. Run a memory monitor while playing the game and see if your lag coincides with maxing system resources. I think the game itself might have a memory usage limit too.

It is not system memory issue definitely, i checked it in memory monitor. But, actually i found out that this bug happens after "Shaktur beacon" appears somewhere on the map. Maybe it is something to do with victory conditions...[&:]

could be. Try playing with the storyline off? I have to admit I've never played past mid game at all.

Damn bug still persists! It is something to do with storyline, as there is no bugs without it!

does the game run fine with the story line when you do not use the mod?

No, bug persists. It is the problem in the mod files, just it is impossible to determine where. Cause this bug does not provide error log.
