JJKettunen -> Multiplayer - zlib error (12/20/2012 12:21:09 PM)

In my very first PBEM I encountered this nasty problem. A couple of turns of the '14 campaign went just fine, but then it became problematic to load my opponent's (warspite1) turn. The game sort of freezes for a minute, and then there's small window saying "fatal: zlib error", and the game crashes. Note that this doesn't happen every time, but still more often than not. Attached is the .log file. I hope it helps.

It seems to be display related. When I plugged my laptop into an older monitor (not HD), there have been no zlib errors...

I sounds like a network problem. What kind of internet connection do you have?

LAN and wireless at work. Perhaps it is an issue with the latter?

zlib is a compression library. Sounds like the downloaded save file is being corrupted sometimes.

I think it is a network problem because I haven't had the problem at home.

Yes, this all points to the same: faulty internet connection. Sorry for that situation. Only thing I can recommend now is to restart the game and try again. Will address that in next patch.
