Gerry Anderson died today. I grew up with Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and Space 1999. Another childhood hero gone. Rest well.

As a kid growing up, Thunderbirds was the business. My eldest little Warspite got into it when it became popular again in the mid-2000's, attracting a whole new army of little fans.

I have little metal models of Thunderbirds 1, 2, 3 and 4 on display in my study.

RIP Gerry Anderson [&o]

Still enjoy watching Thunderbirds early on weekend mornings.

A great man. Way ahead of his time and has seen his shows stand the test of time [&o]

But don't forget his early work like "Four Feather Falls", "Fireball XL5", "Supercar" and "Stingray"

Edit: for those that have never seen where it all began here's episode 1 of "Four Feather Falls" Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=en-GB&v=vqLyY4zQOjk and Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLbFOOP8eI8

Of these I remember Fireball XL5, we probably got swamped by American cartoons in that era.
