fulcrum28 -> screen resolution (1/2/2013 5:59:42 PM)

I installed in a PC and could played nicely. Now I installed in a laptop, whose resoltion is 1280x800.

I tried to replace px and py with 1280 and 800 here:

-w –px1680 –py1050 for windowed mode, so that the window is within desktop

I get a windowed mode is very high resoltuion, but the bottom part is shaded by windows 9 bar.

I tried to use full window mode but somehow the resolution decreases a bit (the letters are a bit blurr). The ID numbers of plane tails are not readable for example.

there is no way to obtain same resolution for full screen?
any suggestion?

Instead of -w use -f.

thank you full screen resolution is lower than window screen resolution. I moved the W7 toolbar from bottom to the left, so I can see all screen now in high resolution. I just lose a bit of screen in left and right sides.

How do you make it so that the screen doesn't stretch on a wide screen?

Full Screen mode
My screen is 1920 x 1080 when I set the switches on quick start -f -px1920 –py1080 I still get the wide black bands on the left and right side of screen. When I set the switches to w -px1920 –py1080 I get a small window that is not resize able within the desktop. Is this what you mean by full screen? I am running Version 1.0.6.1108r9 on a Dell XPS 17” laptop.. Any help would be appreciated!

Tedster,

If you look at the Whats new file Cohimbra is talking about - it will give you the directions to modify.

Since I have an XPS 17" laptop myself, I'm curious - I didn't have to modify the resolution to have a perfect screen. What did you have happen?

tedster -> RE: screen resolution (1/16/2013 4:18:18 PM)

Hi moore4807
I had black bands on the left and right side of the screen. In other words the picture was not wide enough. The screen resolution is and was 1920 x 1080. I finally solved this by using the small minus sign on the switches. I copied from the information in (Whats New) and one of the minus signs was a large one. I would like to use the windows switch but the picture is too high, and the window is not resize able. There must be a way to resize it but so far I have been unable too. I have been a long long long time player of the original game and it's updates. This game and the games editor has given me many years of pleasure. I have not played for a long time. I decided to try the Admirals edition. I really miss the ability to change planes at allied factories and in the squadrons. I have just started so I may find a work around (I hope). At 77 years of age I have a hard time trying to keep track of all the different plane types. I would also like to be able to zoom out on the main map is this possible? This has always been a great game. It is amazing to me that so many people have taken the effort to improve it. (THANKS)
Tedster (Ted)
