SBD -> KV-1 factory not producing (1/10/2013 6:20:30 AM)

Scenario: '41-'45 campaign

Version: game started with 1.06.23beta & upgraded to the installer version of 1.06.25beta

The KV-1 factory in Chelyabinsk begins at "0" & stays there. I began a new game using 1.06.25 & it was at "0" here also.

One item fixed and another one broke, I thought Pavel had fixed these zero-size facs not rising anymore. I'll ask him again.

According to section 21.2.1.1 Game Play tip #2, the KV-1 factory in Chelybinsk starts the game at level 0. The KV-1 M1941 factory expansion rate is 1 so according to 21.1.8 those factories should expand by 1 each turn assuming no damage. Ran through a few turns as a quick test and do see the KV-1 factory in Leningrad expanding but not the one in Chelyabinsk so this doesn't look right. However I'm not a production expert so I'll need Pavel or one of the other testers to confirm something else is not limiting the expansion.

In my latest game I notice that the factory in the earlier turns was producing however after the latest beta I think it reverted to 0.

That's a bug for sure as it was introduced in 1.06.20 or later, it was working in 1.06.19.
As I said above, bug fixing is not easy as one fix here might break something else over there.

I believe it has been fixed but would have to check further.

Edit - Found this in the update notes:

On turn 17 in one of my games using 1.16.25 & the Chelybinsk factory is still not producing any KVs so I don't think it has been fixed yet

That's because 1.06.27 with the fix is still in test. Likely to be released to the public as the next public beta next week.

I did realize it. If you read the post above mine by jamesm he asks if it will be fixed in the next beta. That is what I was responding to when I posted the update note, meaning it has been fixed in the next update.

Right now I am in turn 7 of a PBEM started under 1.06.25 and the Chelyabinsk KV-1 factory now expanded to 3. It seemed to start expanding after I moved the factory in Leningrad.. (could be a coincidence...)
