Bc2of5 -> Impression on 2.20 (12/25/2002 4:44:28 AM)

I am playing a "Decision in the south Pacific" campaing as Japan with 2.20.I am end of may now and I counting my A6m3 to replace(hopefully) the older A5m's,but 2 times already their pool was suddenly empty but none unit received any(I looked everywhere,carriers,even the reinforcement groups),on the other side says the pool that I had already uses 90 A5m's.....none to see of them.That's a little bit strange.I am expecting since a week now an small A5m's unit as reinforcemt(last in row),but so fas every day thery are telling me they are coming tomorrow.Results of air battles quite surprising,too,several times pilots now flow home as an enemy airplane was damaged or destroyed.....I am suspecting that in an dogfight pilots must be very nervous,the lost now already their nerves when enemy planes are hit.I developed to bad surprise as an 20 intercepters battled my 35 Zeros and they caught quick 3 kills and suddenly all disappeared.

I would like to have more bookkepping informations on my units,which pilots and planes were lost last week,how many replacement did they get.An option in the game to turn off the display of the experience of the pilots might be nice,only an evaluation of the units(maybe ships,too) based on the leadership value of the leader.I would like to depatch replacement pilots by myself,or to send an call about the amount I need.It seems wrong to me to see all units on carriers and airfields filled with pilots with quality 17-30 within 2 days whitout any losses.Flak on ships shot sometimes not( I suspected they were out of ammo),but the next raid their flak shot again.Operational lösses on damaged planes seem to high,at this rate they had be never any fear in Germany of Japan that heavy bomers will make it back and fly again.Air combat losses seem to high to me,too.The "razor sharp" pilots of the Zeroes at the start fell out of the sky like raindrops.This should be ok if the enemy has an strong numerical advantage,or better planes or better trained pilots,but not in may 42.I am don't like that the combat interceptors-escorts and interceptors-bombers are seperated.I am had a raid on PM where 35 fighters managed to destroy 25 bombers of mine after they ger past my 25 Zeroes.I had suspected that the interceptors would be had a hard time against 25 escorts,but in fact.....I would like to see an working Fow on the losses table of airplanes,based on the reports of the own pilots,makes no sense to have wrong combat results in dogfights,only to see the real ones later there.

As you see do I have some wished for Christmas:D

It's a great game and I it can be still better.

Thanks for your patience.
