Rosseau -> RE: New Angola Operation Hooper DLC released (4/18/2013 9:13:15 PM)

Thanks Dane. Obviously, would have bought the whole series on Matrix, but I couldn't wait [:)]

So I go to Graviteam forum for the March patch, but it downloads as text. Any ideas?

Download game core update 5.81 1st and install

Download updates March 2013 2nd

Install update
1) Install game core update 5.81 (if not installed) for this run gtos_cu_581_eng.exe.
2) In the window that appears, click "Install" button and select update file which will been downloaded - gtos_patch_march13_eng.gt2extension .
3) Wait for the installation (click Ok to automatically uninstall previous update).
4) Click "Save and Play" button.

WARNING! After installing the patch:
- will be done automatically adjusts the video settings
- will be removed savegames that created during tactical battle

I got the core update and new current patch here
http://www.graviteam.com/HELP/patches.html

You should be able to open updater and direct it to your downloads and it will automatically install.

I've been doing this for awhile and I'm still used to the old way of updating and open and unpack the files as RAR after downloading then when I use my in game updater I go to CORE file select all files till the desc. appears then select desc.

Once you have installed the 5.81 core update and then March 13 patch you can than install Operation Hooper.

As far as Matrix and this game goes.
Matrix is no longer in the picture.Everything for this game now is best dealt with by going to Graviteam and Gamersgate for updates and DLCs and soon the new game Graviteam Tactics: Mius Front

Rosseau -> RE: New Angola Operation Hooper DLC released (4/20/2013 10:50:45 PM)

Thanks Dane. I never had a prob with it before. But when I hit the gtos_patch_march13_eng.gt2extension link, I get text and constant "connecting" message. No file to download.

See if it works for you - out of the goodness of your heart. [:)]

NEW Current Patch_GTOS_mar13b_2013-eng

Did you try this one?

I can't test to see if this works right now.
I'm not at home and currently on my wireless laptop on a very very slow network.
I was able to click on the link and it opened but with my speed it would take 5 hours to download.

My auto updater doesn't work well either and as I recall I had to open the patch as a RAR file and unpack it to a folder in my game folder then use the ingame updater to install it manually by locating the patch folder(I named Mar13 patch and unpacked it here) and then locate core file for that patch then click all files till the desc. appeared then clicked select for the desc. to get it to load into my game.

Rosseau -> RE: New Angola Operation Hooper DLC released (4/21/2013 3:52:20 AM)

Please, no rush Dane. The game works pretty well as is. I will be fine once I can get that main file downloaded. That screen full of text on download and no file downloading is odd. Have a good weekend.

Andrey over at Graviteam said the Operation Hooper DLC sold very well, better than any of the WW2 DLCs.This doesn't mean that they are going to channel more resources into the modern stuff though. But He did mention that Hooper may see an expansion campaign and map to include Operation Modular or Savannah and include more Cubans.

Some pics of my Op Hooper experience, more like Op up da Hooper for me. Those T55's fire on the move and there are many of them. The SADF is still holding tho
my graphic levels are not turned up and the game still looks great.
