Hi there.

I spent some time trying to find one that would do said thing but so far haven't had any luck. I'm not looking after total overhaul mods where the whole game is changed (so no Battlestar Galactica and such). I would like to have vanilla game but with better looking/more distinctive ships.

I have trouble knowing which ship is which.

So, does any mod for that purpose exist out there?

As a sidenote, if I change the way factions look, is it possible to also update Galactopedia or is that not moddable?

Edit: Uh, oh - I meant ships for the Legends expansion.

Welcome to the forums Hister [:)]

This mod / theme has distinctive ship types in amongst other things. I personally have never used it but it has had a fair amount of positive feedback from other folks.

I'm not sure that GEM includes revised ship models, its more of a UI icon overhaul. Have a look at the Distant Worlds Extended mod for new races and shipsets.

Thank you guys.

I've checked out DWE and I got the impression it maintains vanilla ships for original "families" while adding new ship designs for newly added families. Correct or am I seeing something wrong?

GEM is great - helps understanding what is what more at a glance so I might just stick with it.

P.S. Just bought Stardrive Beta - looks like it'll be hard to decide which one of these games is better. ;)
