I'm like pws1225 -- lucky to have any time at all! Right now I'm playing about one turn every 4 weeks against the AI (a PBEM opponent wouldn't put up with this schedule!). That's actually one thing I like about PBEM; it gives me an incentive to play more often. Right now, though, I have too many other irons in the fire and I need to extinguish that fire before I can think of getting back into it on a more regular basis.

I am such an amateur. I let RL get in the way far too much. I get one turn on most workdays and 2-3 on non work days. That i could do as many as you! Reminds me of a post...You know your addicted to AE when - - - - - - - - You pass on sex with the wife to do an extra turn! Guilty!

This isn't practical or possible, but imagine if a player, after sending a turn to the opponent, could then begin advance work on the next turn, doing routine stuff like attending to training, fort and base building orders, etc. Can you imagine how much time we'd spend then? How many hours would the game suck if that were somehow possible?

In my prime I was doing 12 turns a day as the Japanese and 4 to 6 as the US in PBEM. Slowed down a little now as Japan 4 to 6 a day in a PBEM and 6 or 7 as the US in a PBEM right now. Freeboy and I could play the till late 45 in 4 or 5 months when I was Japan. He would start in December and be done in June. We did that several years in a row. Have not heard from him yet this year up to this point.

I get 1-2 in a day. I truly hope, in a few years, to have my own business where I set my own schedule and can get in more playing time! This is where I envy CR... While I am dedicated, I cannot imagine passing up special wifely 'favors' as Top Everest states. That man must have SERIOUS playing issues!!! [sm=00000289.gif]

I cant face a day without at least two or three PBEM turns. It keeps my mind busy with the possibilities. If the turn is late in coming I'm wondering if there are internet problems(sometimes) or my partner in crime is planning something exceptionally vile for me! I shuddder at the thought.

I would usually hear from him in late Fall to start a new game.

I have one PBEM game going right now, which is all I can handle with my work schedule. I started another one last summer but it died out since both of us were too busy to give it the proper attention. In my current PBEM, playing Japan Scen 2, I spend anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours on a turn, depending on what, exactly, is going on in the game, and how much my work and family schedule will tolerate. However, I think about the game while doing other tasks like driving or cleaning the kitchen.
