hi

I'm not a specialist in WWII soviet aviation, and it's sometimes a bit difficult to derive a hierarchy of quality from the features in the description screen of the various planes.
Of course, I know I-class fighters are crap, you can tell by the picture anyway, but Migs? LaGGs? Yaks? Which one should be favoured over the others? what is the typical upgrade path?

It's natural to just progress along with what is getting produced at the moment and weigh it with production numbers. You have to use all those plane types.

For elite units I tend to look for planes with high Maneuver rating.

According to Pavel Speed is also important for air combat so best use a plane with high speed and good (30+) maneuver (if available).

From my observations 32+ Maneuver is required to have good results.
