Brady -> Submarines and the seamingly large torpedo salvos (1/2/2003 1:05:07 PM)

Is it just me or do submarines seam to fire off a ton of torpedos at targets that historicaly took only 1 or 2 torpedos to sink. I have read several Books on Submarines in WW2 Like Clear the Bridge, I boat Captain, Das boot, Thunder Bellow ect. One reacuring them is that larger Freghiters, 10k tons or so, may of taken 3 or 4 torpedos at most and even then that number was fired to guarentee 2 or 3 hits. Smaller ships like Destroyers took 1 torpedo to criple and typicaly sink outright.
Another thnig I have noticed is that Subs only target one ship at a time when atacking multiple ship convoys, generaly several ships were targeted with the bow tubs and sometimes even the stern tubs were brought to bear.
The damage text for the subs is also kinda wacky imo,Could it be alterd to say somthing like Floding or Batrie damage, somthing more in tune with damage a sub would take when being depth charged as aposed to that common to a surfice ship.
Also It would be neat if a B-1,B-2, or B-3 class sub were available once in a while for Japan.
