tocaff -> Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (4/21/2013 3:35:36 PM)

I find myself with time on my hands and would like to start a GC as the Allied player. I prefer WITP vanilla. HRs are open to discussion. I won't be doing an AAR this time around. If you're interested and willing to go the distance regardless of setbacks PM me.

tankboy -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (4/21/2013 3:41:44 PM)

Ask Capt. He loves being the Japanese player[;)]

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (4/21/2013 3:51:53 PM)

He started a GC and he really prefers to play the Allied side. We've battled many times since our UV days and now we're Allies in a multi player WPO game.

Capt -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (4/22/2013 1:27:35 AM)

Yeah right! I HATE playing Japan. Just too much going on I can't get my head around it all.

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (4/24/2013 3:23:28 PM)

No takers? Are you guys trying to push me to AE?

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (4/27/2013 1:44:18 AM)

Bueller? Bueller?

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (5/1/2013 7:35:23 PM)

OK, so I suppose you guys are going to force me to abandon WITP and make the leap to AE?

FeurerKrieg -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (5/1/2013 7:45:49 PM)

Yes.

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (5/6/2013 10:43:47 PM)

Come on guys I'm not nearly that good that you should be afraid, ask Steve.

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (5/18/2013 1:30:10 PM)

I've intensified my play of AE short scenarios by PBEM with AW1Steve as I'm sadly being pushed by you cowards [;)] into a future of AE.

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (6/15/2013 7:31:09 PM)

So nobody is going to offer me a chance to right all of the wrongs that I did against Steve?

Zecke -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (7/14/2013 7:15:29 PM)

I´m interested as japan (vanilla WITP)

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (7/16/2013 2:42:42 PM)

PM sent and awaiting a reply.

Zecke -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (7/16/2013 4:57:03 PM)

PM sent with House rules

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (7/16/2013 11:48:49 PM)

We might have a war on our hands.

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (7/18/2013 1:37:10 AM)

Negotiations continuing. I will not be doing an AAR this time around if a game is agreed to.

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (7/18/2013 11:18:23 PM)

Sadly, there will be no game.

I'm still looking for an opponent.

Did you ever find your opponent? Would love to give it a try but two games are keeping me busy.

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (8/10/2013 10:50:27 PM)

No game as of yet.

ColCathcart -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (8/11/2013 11:55:16 PM)

Hi,
if it is not a secret can you say what turned out to be unpassable obstacle in negotiations with Zecke (HRs, other issue)?
Also what is your expected pace of a game (how many turns a week)?

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (8/20/2013 6:17:08 PM)

Without interruptions from RL a turn a day would be great.

I'd rather not make what happened public. If you want you can PM me.

Sendai -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (8/26/2013 1:36:13 PM)

I'd be willing to try a game but couldn't manage a turn per day - would you consider a turn per week ?

I'd be happy to increase the turn cycle to compensate

Sendai

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (8/26/2013 4:50:22 PM)

A turn per week?!?!? No disrespect, but that would be a game that would never get done. Even if you went to 2 day turns you'd still need 3 turns per week to just cover 6 days. It would take almost 5 years to complete a game. 1 turn per week and you're talking over 10 years and between turns you'd forget what you were doing. Sorry, but that just wouldn't work.

Sendai -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (8/26/2013 10:36:33 PM)

Fair enough although a turn per day with each turn being 1 day still equates to a game length of almost 4 years.

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (8/27/2013 1:25:16 PM)

That is considered a good time frame. My game v Steve has gone on for over 4 years now so it is most important to find a good opponent who will stay the course.

Sendai -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (8/27/2013 3:19:48 PM)

Ok - good luck with your game then.

Just out of interest - how much time each day do you need for each turn ?

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (8/27/2013 8:16:17 PM)

It depends on the amount of activity at that point in time and also how many units you have at your disposal. For instance early war for the Allies, after the the first couple of weeks, tends to go quickly. Later in the war when you're on the offensive and have many active units turns will take longer. I've had 10 minute turns and others have taken hours.

tocaff -> RE: Are You A Japanese Hero Looking For A War? (9/6/2013 4:19:21 PM)

Forget the WITP as I'll be migrating to AE for a game when my war with Steve ends.
