The last release range I heard was 8-10 October. I think that's pretty soon. [&:]

Good Hunting.

mikeCK -> RE: Home stretch (10/6/2013 1:37:16 AM)

MATRIX usually releases on Tuesday so the 8th is a better bet than the 10th

CapnDarwin -> RE: Home stretch (10/6/2013 1:52:31 AM)

mikeCK,

That is our hope as well, but having spoken to Matrix we know it could be after the 8th and we are just letting folks know. With the documentation issue late in the week the printing copy lost a day or two to the schedule. We will have to wait and see what happens.

Talon_XBMCX -> RE: Home stretch (10/6/2013 2:12:07 AM)

They can ship the physical copies after they release the digital version. I need to plan my red flu accordingly!!! [:D]

CapnDarwin -> RE: Home stretch (10/6/2013 5:03:10 AM)

Panman,

I'll see if I can get some clarification in our Monday evening Dev call.

Talon_XBMCX -> RE: Home stretch (10/6/2013 6:05:19 AM)

Thanks Capn. It's going to be a release day purchase for me regardless of the day. [8D]

tombo -> RE: Home stretch (10/6/2013 1:39:54 PM)

+1 here too!

If delayed, can the manual be released to hold us over[:D]

CapnDarwin -> RE: Home stretch (10/6/2013 2:32:56 PM)

Tombo,

I'm going to see if we can get cleared to put the Printer Friendly Manual up when we have our Dev call Monday evening. We also need to get that PDF version from Matrix and the Layout gurus.

trebcourie -> RE: Home stretch (10/7/2013 4:25:00 PM)

Any news?

I'm all pumped for a release tomorrow. I hope I'm not disappointed!

CapnDarwin -> RE: Home stretch (10/7/2013 4:46:39 PM)

Nothing new. Updating some info on the product page and working on the Modding guide right now. Everything else is with the Matrix/Slitherine team and there QA/Production team.

I hope we don't disappoint either. [;)]

Erik Rutins -> RE: Home stretch (10/7/2013 5:31:59 PM)

Hi everyone,

We expect Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm to release on Wednesday, October 9th.

Regards,

CapnDarwin -> RE: Home stretch (10/7/2013 6:24:53 PM)

Thanks Erik!

trebcourie -> RE: Home stretch (10/7/2013 7:44:54 PM)

I guess I'm feeling better today, but that Red flu might kick in tomorrow.

jday305 -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 12:30:41 AM)

As much as I want to buy RS this week I will probably wait until next week as I will not be able to start playing it until then with my work schedule this week. [:(] I will be looking forward to it though.[sm=Cool-049.gif]

Mad Russian -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 1:29:03 AM)

Don't buy it until you have time to play it!! [sm=00000613.gif]

This is one of THOSE GAMES!!!! [sm=character0272.gif]

+1

Thanks for the update Erik. Looking forward to this title ... and the PTO! [8D]

trebcourie -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 7:17:03 AM)

The front page of Matrix Games is showing a release date of 8 October.

british exil -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 8:59:34 AM)

Want to buy it ASAP. But as I'm away on holiday, I'll have to wait until Sunday, unless I order tomorrow and download Sunday. (Thinking, thinking hard)

I do. I just got excited last night when I saw that.

Mad Russian -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 2:56:16 PM)

You just need to stay excited for one more day is all! [:D]

Good Hunting.

MR

Richie61 -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 8:33:32 PM)

Count me in! I am buying this ASAP [:D]

Now Steve is going to have to get the WWII version with the Panthers done! [:'(]

PS: Is your grandson still into Panther tanks?

heyhellowhatsnew -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 9:05:31 PM)

Thanks Erik, I know this is like pulling teeth but any word on the price so I can budget my money for the month accordingly? Even a price-ish range? :P

heyhellowhatsnew -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 9:08:57 PM)

This would be very helpful for me because last week I found out I had MS (and was hospitalized for it) and now I am on a very limited budget due to disability so at the very least a range would be nice please.

trebcourie -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 9:19:13 PM)

Matrix doesn't announce pricing before a game release.

Recently, the developers stated (obliquely) that FPCRS would cost less than Command: Modern Air and Naval Operations. That game costs $80/$95 (download and boxed).

Personally, I'm expecting ~$40 for the download-only edition.

See, this is the only thing I hate about grog game publishers because Battlefront does it too. We all know these are niche games so they might be expensive, but we still buy them, people will always moan and complain. That and the game grog game publishers don't do pre-order downloads in the year of our Stalin 2013.

Try it out once. I swear I could be dying of cancer and ask a dev or head for at least a price range and they'd still remain stalewart over it. Everything else is perfect in the grog community except this. This is just annoying and doesn't help customers on budgets who want to portion correctly to support them. It's frustrating i'm sorry.

heyhellowhatsnew -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 9:25:38 PM)

It's like jeez, have a little heart? I'm going to buy/want to buy the game to support the company and the devs but damn.

CapnDarwin -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 9:30:34 PM)

BROJD is a bit low. Less than 20 hours. Hang tough.

british exil -> RE: Home stretch (10/8/2013 9:33:37 PM)

If i remember correctly the price war thread is in general chat forums.

I guess the price for boxed and download and the download only will also be announced tomorrow. I know we can never wait for the release of a highly awaited game, but to start talking about the price, we'll I think this is the wrong thread. I want the game I'll buy, I want but can't afford it- then I save or wait for a sales date. And I know I am not the person to start a debate on this subject, let's just enjoy enjoy the prerelease hype! Please!
