For those of you who were wondering, crashing airplanes definitely cause suppresion an casualties if they land on a unit. I lost my 4-year veteran FO team when a B-26 fell on them. A few battles later, I noticed my A1 unit was highlighted after the enemy turn. When I looked where A0 was supposed to be, there was a burning A-26. I also noticed near misses suppressed units in the next hex, but didn't inflict any casualties.

Ah, so Chicken Little was right. Now if I just figure out how to get them to fall in the right places.

Hi, a few months ago I started a thread "Shortest battle ever" about how the Luftwaffe routed my Russian Tank group in only 2 turns. I was playing the long campaign and over and over in battle after battle the Luftwaffe came in mass numbers always finding my best tanks/infantry even when they did not move and were deployed in the rear. At long last I changed a company of infantry (Starting core was 4 Inf Co's 4 tank platoons) to AA guns. Then during a defend mission I waited eagerly for the Luftwaffe to fly into my ambush and I would be revenged. The Stukas came and I shot down the first 4. Then a JU-88 came in and went down in flames....landing right on top of my BG HQ (A0) killing the beloved Col. (battle number 24) ------------------ I'm not retreating, I'm attacking in a differant direction! [This message has been edited by Mogami (edited February 14, 2001).]
