Fabio Prado -> New Scenario - "Nine Lives"! (1/5/2003 8:05:30 PM)

After a looong winter back in the Russian Front, I'm back with a new scenario by Jesse W. Cheng: "Nine Lives"!
Army Group Center of the German command has just completed a massive double envelopement battle of Bialystock and Minsk, four Russian Armies in the strength of 32 infantry divisions, 8 armored divisions, 6 motorized or mechanized brigades, and 3 cavalry divisions had been smashed.
The Russian line of defense had been broken and General Nehring's 18th Panzer Division established a bridgehead across the Berezina River at the city of Borisov. There has been a momentary hiatus in the fighting as the German Panzers allowed the infantry and supply units time to catch up.
However, on July 3, 1941 an advanced column of the 18th Panzer
Division faced a organized Soviet counterattack with heavy armored forces. This prompted General Nehring to comment "Where do they come from? These Russians seem to have nine lives!"
