Try to go through until payment, and see if the prices are not less than advertised. When checking, the three before shadows was quite a lot cheaper than they were doing the same test some weeks ago.

Yep, was just about to say I went on through the steps anyway and it's right

The price cache may take some time to clear - if you click to purchase and add them to your cart, you should see the current pricing.

Natmeister -> RE: Release date and midnight release of shadows? (5/23/2013 3:58:46 PM)

Is 93.42 NZD the correct sale price?

Erik Rutins -> RE: Release date and midnight release of shadows? (5/23/2013 4:05:14 PM)

Hi Natmeister,

I assume you mean for the entire series? For the Shadows release, the total price for the entire series including Shadows works out to $69.96 in USD, which is about 40% off the base price for each release. I just checked and the bank conversion rate is 1 USD = 1.233 NZD, so that would be about $86.26, but we unfortunately can't get the same rate for currency conversion as a bank, so $93.42 at 4% more is probably right. I can't check more precisely because the price is dynamically converted by the store based on the current exchange rate we get when you place the order.

Regards,

- Erik

Hmm, something wrong on my install. Launcher will open the Manual, and check for updates. But clicking on the Play button does nothing.
Task manager doesn't even show a process starting.

I am having the same issue. Going to try reinstalling it

shoutdawg -> RE: Release date and midnight release of shadows? (5/23/2013 4:40:59 PM)

I had the same problem, but then set the DistantWorlds.exe to "Run as Administrator" and now everything runs fine.

CyclopsSlayer -> RE: Release date and midnight release of shadows? (5/23/2013 4:49:21 PM)

Reinstalled, and confirmed it was already set to run as Admin. Still nothing from the Play button.

Have you tried running it from the DistantWorlds.exe directly (on my install there was a "Distant Worlds (Quick Start)" shortcut added.

Also, did the .Net 4.0 and XNA install ask you to restart?

I did. Everything you said in the last few posts. I restarted twice now. I ran admin from the directly as you said.

Please make sure you have anti-virus/security off during installation. Please make sure you allowed XNA and .NET to install.

Are you logged into an Admin account? Distant Worlds does require Admin access to run. If you are in an Admin account it should be as easy as double-clicking the desktop shortcut, accepting the UAC prompt (unless you have UAC turned off) and clicking play.

- Erik

Bought it, installed, loaded it - workin'! (and just in time too, I'm off on a 5 day vacation starting this afternoon!) Thanks Matrix!
