Sorry you guys......I'm going to have to curtail this AAR since I have been called to do some playtesting in the development forum.

For some reason when I click on the attachment it was downloading into NotePad. Did a save target as and added a .zip extension and it seemed to work. Thank you for the response.

Today is clearly not my day. I put the file in the scenario folder, but it does not turn up when I try to open. I put it in the WWII East Front folder, but when I navigate there within TOAW, all the scenarios are there except this one. What foolish mistake have I made now? Thanks.

Here's the updated scenario in case anybody wants to play w/ it some. Just rename the file by clipping off the ".txt" ( dot txt ) to make
it a zip file again.

I tried to look for it myself and I couldn't find it either. So I edited the entire scenario again just now and now it works. So we have an
updated lgf_Barbarosa.sce for you guys. Just save-as and give it a zip extention on the file name and unzip it. Or rename the
lgf_ Barbarosa.sce.zip.txt file by clipping off the ".txt" off the end of the filename to make it a zip file.

EDIT: I added some RR engineers to all the Axis HQ, AA, and engineer units so you should be able to repair all the rail in the world
now and the rail line should be able to keep up w/ the front lines now. I extended the supply radius to 15 for both sides of the
conflict so the supply situation should be improved for both sides.

shunwick -> RE: turn 30 (6/3/2013 10:23:43 AM)

Guys,

It is a 3.5 scenario and the format means that it will not open under 3.4

Best wishes,
Steve

Yes, at first it WAS a 3.5 scenario and that's why it wasn't showing up as available. So I edited the scenario using 3.4 and now it
shows up. Good catch.

Larry, what are play testing in the development forum.

Larry, what are play testing in the development forum.

Steve Sill has developed, built, and tested a scenario that is the TOAW equivalent of War in the West called
D-Day to the Elbe and he wanted an independent playtest of it and THAT's what I'm playtesting right now. This is my third time
through the scenario and Steve is making changes to make it "play right" and it's getting closer and closer to "just right" all the time.
It's an Allied against the German PO only kind of scenario so we only have to playtest the Allied side. So far. It CAN be played by two
players, one of whom is playing the German side, and that's probably the most funnest way to play ( PBEM ). I'm pretty enthralled by
the scenario and I consider it one of the greats. Unfortunately it only runs under 3.5 since it has so many events ( more than 3.4 can
handle ). Steve and I are hoping the scenario can be released when 3.5 is released, if and when THAT ever happens.

fogger -> RE: turn 30 (6/4/2013 10:56:37 AM)

Larry, does that mean you have a test / developmental copy of 3.5? [X(] or is this a question I should not ask? [:-]

Ask away my friend Fogger dude. Yes, as a matter of fact I DO have a copy of 3.5 and I'm using it to playtest the new scenario
D-Day to the Elbe which is the TOAW equivalent of War in the West. We're making it "play right" currently. And every
once in a while I'll find something that needs some attention and Steve Sill will change the scenario and I'll have to start over w/ my
playtest. I'm retired and don't watch TV anymore so I have plenty of time to test stuff. I don't know if or when 3.5 will be released
to the public.........I'm as much in the dark as anybody else reguarding that. Keep those good questions coming.

fogger -> RE: turn 30 (6/4/2013 12:38:34 PM)

Larry my old mate and good buddy [:D][;)],
You have me salivating.[:'(] Please tell more about 3.5. I know that you have no idea when it will be released but how close do you think it is to being finished? (percentage wise) What can you tell us about it?

By the way I am your long lost son, the one you never knew about [:D]. So if a copy should fall of the back of a truck, please send the truck my way[;)]
cheers
John

larryfulkerson -> RE: TOAW 3.5 (6/4/2013 2:38:12 PM)

In my opinion 3.5 is a major update. There's actually a document ( multipage ) that describes the changes and additions and it's
actually pretty massive. I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say about it ( NDA don't you know ) so I'm going to keep my mouth shut
and really I don't know a better way to find out than by asking "Curtis Lemay" ( real name Bob ). I'd really really like to know what he
says. There are development groups on other projects for Matrix Games that have an open developers diary and open AAR's and
I'd really like us to do the same. Input from the actual people that are going to use it is invaluable.

Steve Sill says he doesn't want to flaunt his scenario in public and I agree. I have no desire to make anybody mad or frustrated and
I wish we could all be playtesters so we could all have a copy of 3.5 and give Steve's scenario a really good workout. Unfortunately,
D-Day to the Elbe only runs under 3.5 because of the number of events and the size of the map and it is planned that it will be
released when 3.5 is released. That's my understanding and now you know almost as much as I do. Really.

So my advice is to ask about it by posting your question and I'd really like to know what he says too.

larryfulkerson -> Barbarosa 41 revised (6/5/2013 6:28:17 AM)

So um........most of you already know that I've modded the classic scenario Barbarosa 41 so that the supply situation is better
and I'm curious to know if I've "broken" the scenario so that it's no longer balanced. My first run through the scenario proved that the
Axis supply level was too high so I've bumped it down by half and I extended the Soviet supply radius to 15 and I'm hoping that the
scenario still plays well. ( I'll have to playtest this thing from the Soviet side to just to make sure.) I'll be using these game options:

EDIT: I'll be using TOAW 3.4.0.202
