Tammeroth -> Construction at...stalled (5/31/2013 4:21:15 PM)

Greetings,

Is there a way to turn off the "Construction at...stalled" warning? Heh, the constant spam is making me crazy!

BenLen -> RE: Construction at...stalled (6/2/2013 4:54:55 AM)

I can't find this either... there are a lot of options for changing which pop-ups appear but I don't see one for "construction stalled" messages.

Antiscamp -> RE: Construction at...stalled (6/2/2013 10:00:24 AM)

It would indeed be nice with a toggle for that one.

TrooperCooper -> RE: Construction at...stalled (6/2/2013 10:34:25 AM)

Yup. Needs a checkbox just like all the other messages, It would be the only one that I turn off.

Funny, before shadows we wanted notifications like that. Now we got em and its to much spam. [:D]

But yeah, the orange text info in the items window is enough...

Would be nice if these messages could be injected into the expansion screen and label critically needed resources with a red colour. I personally don't find the expansion screen helpful at all when it comes to locating and remedying critically low resources - the numbers are too abstract with so many resources around.

"Construction stalled" is no real good indicator of shortages, just an indicator about not everything being quite well.

Does a mining station struggle a bit while retrofitting? Who cares? If that is the only problem it will solve itself soon enough. Does all messages involve the same resource? That is a hint.

Sort the top list of the expansion planner on various tings. Do you have sources? Do you have unfulfilled demand? Is unfulfilled demand a significant part of total stores? If so it is a hint that more sources could be a good idea. If the unfulfilled and store both are large, how is the amount being in transit? If that is a significant chunk of the demand, the freighters are working on it.

If there is some strategic you think seem a bit low, click it and see what components use it. If they look familiar to what is used a lot in your design, it is a worrying sign.

High store, high demand and high transit could tell a story of poor distribution of sources for that resource. If your empire is somewhat mature, and expand, having mines of key strategic in "new areas" could be an idea if you ever have the intention of building there. Fuel is of course something you want sources of in all corners of the empire, fuel sources live their own life.
