Sandstorms seem to affect movement (drastically)but not affect visibility. I recently started a battle in a sandstorm in which dismounted movement was limited to one hex but visibility was 28 hexes. That's some weird sandstorm. Could this get fixed in the next release?

Yeah ain't it funny feature, I'll guess they had HUD:s in WW2 : ) What kinda game are you playing? If not campaign or scenario, you can edit weather from mapeditor and from battle generator. There where it reads weather, check that it ain't 5 or 6. Six is storm and I am not sure what 5 was, but as I recently tested one eastern front map and did put weather to 5 it said sandstorm...ok, map is saved as desert -map to get dust rising, but I didn't expect sandstorms in russia mosh propably this vision range can't be fixed, unless you edit it by your own...

I am playing the full war campaign as Germany and am now in a battle in the Western Desert with a sandstorm in progress. I agree that the movement is being affected (1 hex per turn on foot) but the visibility is fine. Maybe it should read quicksand rather than sandstorm as the current condition.

Hey, that's nothing. I've seen dust rising when my troops crossed a desert river...North Africa must be a *strange* place.

I'm playing the long campaign, currently in North Africa. What I usually do if the weather conditions come up "sandstorm" is load the last turn of my last battle (I always save at end of battle) and start over until I get a battle without sandstorms. Trudging across the desert one hex at a time while Germans blast me from 20+ hexes away is just silly.

Was Playing a campaign as German v Brits in the Desert, ca 1942 and Brits got airstrikes-no big deal except this was AT NIGHT! Not beyond the realm of historical possibility, but not very probable. Hell NATO doesn't even like to do CAS at night some 60 years later
