Hi there,

I have a problem in many games i havent seen in forum yet:

bases stick to build-location (Planet etc) during construction, but after finalyzed work, the base stays at the precise point in the system, whereas the planets circles the sun, thereby leaving the station adrift in space.
It may happen if construction was stopped because of fleeing, not sure about this.

Some other questions about construction:
- Does a repair station need the plants for weapons, energy+ HT or does the construction yard suffice?
- Is it ok for a resupply ship to get the equipment to work as a construction ship? Seems, the repaired ship will not get boarded.
- Will it speed up repair/construction if i put more plants on the construction ship?
- Is there a way to force a construction ship to wait for all necessary ressources before starting work?
- What is the new formula for the ratio of plants to construction yards for fastest build?
- Some space ports i put 30 building yards into, but it often shows 6 building and some 30+ waiting

And one last question not about construction: How do I force the shakturi to come after me? I havent seen them yet, although having won more than 10 games and played a lot more to the last station with the not awarded tech...
Most of the shadows/normal empire games are won too fast, will winning stop them from coming even if playing on?
Or do i have to give my research to all competitors to make them come?

It's possible if you built the base with a construction ship selected, via the right click menu (rather than selecting the target and clicking the build options) this could happen, though I haven't seen it myself (would probably require quite a dramatically missed click).

More likely though given your other questions, you have been experimenting with construction elements on non-construction ships. I did this with troop transports (I was playing as a pirate and trying to cheat the system). Every time my fake constructors built a base it would drift off into space. So if you have been putting them on resupply ships that will be why. However, the experiment wasn't a total failure, those fake constructors are still perfectly capable of repairing ships and can build monitoring stations and bases in gas clouds if required too.

I haven't experimented enough to fully answer your other questions, but I believe you need one of each tech plant per constructor.

Probably a mix of both, it happened also in games as normal empire without changing construction to other ships, thx for the answer.
