I've had such a discussion before on a different matter. Last time, I was calling something a bug, while someone was calling it a design flaw. This time, I'll be on the other end :) In this case, it seems like a design flaw due to the fact that they didn't use a variable to store cargo on ships, just on bases. There IS a variable that stores the transported cargo, but the variable of the LOCATION of the transported cargo points to the original location of the cargo. Thus, when itis destroyed, all the cargo of that base/station, including the one being transported FROM it, disappears.
