I found it a waste of time unless maybe if you attack real early in the campaign. I like you had captured luganville and Eface. I also captured Tomo and the other major bases on New Caledonia, but Nomeau with its inexustable supply, magically appearing reinforcements and HUGE air capacity. Made it impossible (for me anyway) to capture mid to late in the campaign. Whichs brings up the question. Why is Noumea a supply point in the first place. I can see the need for game purposes that Truk and Brisbane need to be, but why Noumea if Rabaul is not? Certainly historically Noumea could have been isolated by blockade. In my game albeit against the AI I was pretty much able to completely blockade any ships from getting to Noumea, but because its a supply and deployment point it was to no avail. It just continued to get stronger and stronger while I just got weaker and weaker. I do recall however other players on this board say they had captured Noumea. So maybe they no something I dont. Good luck. Regards
