Before I jump into a game where I have to manage ship production for the japanese I have a could questions about shipyard size, shipyard points,etc/
First, are the points global and can they be stored from turn to turn like the HI?
Second, are the sizes correct to actually build the historical ships? I notice Hiroshima/Kure has a Naval Shipyard with a size of 134. According to the rules you must spend one shipyard point per point of durability for the ship to move forward a day. Hiroshima on 07 December historically had the Yamato fitting out (233 points/durability) which gives us a negative 99 points. how do you move this ship forward to commissioning if its durability is greater than the available points? If they're global that would explain things to a degree, The CL-Oyodo was also building there, historically, at least. How does this work since we've already exceeded our shipyard capacity for this yard.

Yes, they are global and can be stored from turn to turn.

Well you said it before - these points are global and are not shipyard specific. It is not about the local size but the global accumulation divided out amongst the ships building.

Read my econdoc in my signature.
Watch my video (also in the sig).
Get Tracker and use it to work out the build.
Read numdydars econ primer too.

Thanks for the clarification. I have your Econ Doc saved to my computer and refer to it often. It is an excellent and valuable piece of work.
Thanks.
