histgamer -> What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 9:42:30 AM)

So I've seen this thread called what game are you playing and that brings up another idea.

What beverage are you drinking? It doesn't have to be alcoholic but just what is you're drink of choice while playing a game? Colas? Beers? Mixed Drinks?

Currently I am enjoying Sam Adams Oktoberfest or Sam Adams Hopology Whitewater IPA depending on the mood.

Punzer -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 12:55:44 PM)

Pepsi Max. Lots and lots of Pepsi Max. I tend to play the night away and it helps keep me sharp.

I usually have a nice cup of tea or just plain water, there is nothing so refreshing as peppermint tea or rooibos. Keeps you calm and relaxed. :)

warspite1 -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 6:49:37 PM)

A great big mug of Rosie Lee [:)].

Good strong black coffee or water for me...no Aspartame [:@], pure poison!

That stuff kills me.

ATM, I'm drinking a cup of Tazo Zen tea. For lunch I had a freaky Japanese melon soda that was really weird tasting.

Joel Levin -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 8:17:20 PM)

yes! I thought i was the only one who prefered tea.. I thought this was going to overflow with cola posts.. Not that cola is bad.. It's just kinda.. Unhealthy to drink.. Too much atleast.

Hotschi -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 8:20:41 PM)

Coffee with a little milk (no sugar) or Radler (1:2 mix of beer and lemon juice).

Darkspire -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 8:44:44 PM)

I drink black tea as well with no sugar, Morrisons Red Label, cheap as chips but a really good taste. Main reason for the black tea and coffee is it tastes better but as I have no fridge I do not have much choice as I have an intense dislike of powdered milk.

At this very moment Mountain Dew Throwback. At 5PM I will switch to Bushmill's Black.

Boomer78 -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 9:02:46 PM)

Throwback for myself as well... Pepsi version. Nothing like good old fashioned SUGAR.

On the weekends I move to the beer, usually a lager, Sam Adams or Shiner. I've actually been drinking quite a bit of Mike's Hard Lemonade lately. Tasty stuff.

You are so correct. I have introduced some youngsters to the Throwback version and they are shocked at the superbe taste.

Boomer78 -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 9:43:29 PM)

They must be selling really well, because at first they were only released as a limited time special. Several stores around here now carry at least a few cases at all times. I've made a few converts myself. One thing I noticed is that when people are accustomed to anything for long enough, they get used to it. Several people I've had try Throwback actually said it tasted like a diet drink! That's the insidious power that corn syrup has on the taste buds. It makes even sugar look tame by comparison. But give it time and your taste buds will remember. Then it's just a matter of enjoying a little nostalgia in a can.

I wish Coke would be more apt to do it like Pepsi does. There's Mexican Coke which has sugar, but it is insanely expensive to order and ship in.

jday305 -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 10:06:49 PM)

Right now its diet pepsi. During the day I usually like green tea. In the evening its my diet pepsi with cherry Vodka. [:D]

DSWargamer -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 10:15:42 PM)

Water, lots of water, oodles of water, hey what can I say, I don't sweat beer :)

When I fancy a treat though, hot chocolate with some (by some I mean about a cap full, think table spoon) of Cartier Irish Cream (wine based from Niagara region) and an equal amount of Cafe del sol (coffee liquor). It is just awesome, like drinking liquid coffee crisp bar :)

I like Gin and Tonic with a heavy dose of lime.

You can also always offer me a cold beer, just so long as it isn't that worthless Coors lite swill. In fact don't offer me anything with the word 'Lite' on the bottle.

Orm -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/25/2013 10:32:28 PM)

I drink lots of tea. Without sugar and no milk. I try to mix different types of tea. Green, black, white or rooibos. Sometimes it is herbal tea.

I have introduced "Throwback" to some 20 somethings and they are stunned at how much better the drinks are with pure cane sugar. I told them the health nut Nazi's pressured the soda makers to switch. Ahhhh, the gold ole' days.

jimi3 -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/26/2013 12:27:48 AM)

Okay, someone's got to do it. Bud Light when I'm in Michigan and Molson when I'm at at the cottage in Ontario. [sm=00000436.gif]

sweeteye -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/26/2013 3:24:10 AM)

Extra strong black coffee 90% of the time, when I am seriously into a game.....Bottled beer 9% of the time, when I am ready to wind down playing a game....1% of the time I prefer four shots of Jim Beam, this is to numb the pain when smashing out the screen after getting disgusted with computers....[:D]

Boomer78 -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/26/2013 9:36:52 AM)

Rum and coke used to be my poison. I could tap out a bottle of Captain Morgan over the course of a weekend. Jack and coke as well... but a few years of that and my liver had enough and filed for divorce. It took a lot of bribes and a fair share of chocolates and flowers to convince her to come back. Now we sit quietly on the porch and have threesomes with Sam Adams. Captain Morgan was last seen throwing love letter filled bottles into the ocean as he sailed away.

My pirate days are over, alas.

british exil -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/26/2013 9:40:32 AM)

We have a coffee machine which grounds the coffee beans just before making the coffee, so I drink a few mugs of fresh coffee whilst "working" at my pc. In the evenings I drink what they call here Malzbier, a maltbeer with no alcohol, is sometimes called a Kinderbier or childrens-beer. I like the taste. The choices can vary between a sweeter version or a much herber stronger malt version.

I used to drink a few cokes in the evening after work, but as I put on too much weight, I decided to kick the habit. Now I drink maybe a glass per month.

When I was in Germany three years ago other than the obvious , I was a big fan of the Radlers.

Jim D Burns -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/26/2013 3:26:48 PM)

Usually just keep ice water around sometimes soda. But for something with a little bite, I enjoy sipping Jack Daniels whiskey when I get into a long reading session online or when I play a game that gives you lots of time to ponder your moves.

Black coffee.

Lützow -> RE: What are you drinking? (9/26/2013 9:24:27 PM)

We get free soft drinks in the office. So I spend my day with Club Mate (do you have this in the US?) and enjoy a beer or two at night while playing games.
