I am not sure if time, money or space would prevent me from taking up that hobby.

But, it sure does look cool.

Sounds like a Kawasaki 350cc dirt bike...

thanks 4 the share - that's a sweet looking RC plane.

Cool, thanks for sharing.

I think a prerequisite to being able to build these things is being at least physically matured... so, maybe only a half-kid.

Seeing all these videos of cool RC planes is making me want to build my own (albeit small) ones, pretty much from scratch. Because that sort of thing is fun.

Until it crashes. I put together a Wright Flyer kite and on its first demo hit the ground hard and became so many match sticks real fast! Sigh.

Amen to this.

I recall pouring hours into making a balsa, paper and airplane dope biplane something, and first flight - so much scrap. Hours of preparation and seconds of flight.

That was the extent of my involvement with the model airplane hobby.

I would make prototypes first to get some experience :P. As long as the engine doesn't break...

I have been doing this for years. It is much easier to get started at now than 30 years ago.
Almost ready to fly planes are relitively inexpensive and the hardest part is to find some one
competant enough to teach you. If there is a RC club in the area most are happy to help a person
get started.
