MBF -> Question for you modders (10/3/2013 7:21:55 PM)

First - I am an idiot so bear with me.

I have an AI game (using Babeslite A, stock map, Dec 7 start) - that I have made it to April 42 - but I just *now* noticed my replacement rates for PBYs (all models) seemed to be awfully low - I checked (using Tracker) and sure enough - the aircraft factories in San Diego had been turned off.

Is there a way to 'cheat' and add a some planes to the pools in a on going game ?

Tracker shows I have used 13 - of the -5 and -5a PBY models. I expect I should have used approx 30 +/- of each model in the pools (given I have my replacements turned off for most of my patrol squadrons)

Thanks !!

No way to cheat.

You can use the editor to change the build rates for aircraft and it will change an on-going game.

You have to have the factories turned on for this to have any effect, however.

Thanks DD696 - I will give that a shot - appreciate the response

Forgot to say that the game will ask you if you want to apply the database changes when you load the save game - say yes - and that it only works for user scenarios, not the official ones.

Thanks again - that looks like it is going to do exactly what I want to recover from my blunder. (First time I ever used the editor - my respect to all of you modders out there !)

DD696 - wanted to thank you again - I played through the next 4 days received 8 PBYs of both models a day and am back on track and I have reset the build rates back to 0. Very much appreciated !

You're welcome. Changes they have made to the editor allow those of us who like to tinker with the game to be able to do so without having to restart the game every time a simple change was needed to the data base.

It is far more friendlier to the AI player than the original WitP.
