vitp4145 -> Changed screen resolution and now game won't load (10/9/2013 12:25:01 PM)

After using this forum to solve the problem of the game not saving (I had to manually create a save folder in the dat folder), I hope my current problem has a solution also.
I am running WAW:AWD version 1.04. I ran the game, and went into the preferenes screen and changed the resoltion to 1280 x 970. Now, when I try to run the game, the window opens to the required dimensions, but then I get the message the program has encountered a problem and needs to close. This happens everytime I try to run the game.
Is there a solution or do I have to uninstall and then re-install from scratch?
