evaamo2 -> The Pied Piper (10/12/2013 5:23:33 PM)

I finished playing the scenario called The Pied Piper and I had quite some fun. In the end, I got a 74% Tactical Victory as NATO. [image]http://imageshack.us/a/img809/3035/2j4o.jpg[/image] One of the things that I found interesting is that I played a very conservative defense, trying to set up mixed Panzer Grenadier + Leopard echelons in case of being overrun by the Soviet advance, and after the time was up, I noticed the Soviets (AI controlled) were being conservative of their own forces as well. [image]http://imageshack.us/a/img202/8511/ataw.jpg[/image] There was an important number of T-80 regiments that were not committed to the main offensive. I believe in this scenario, going beyond the Victory Timer would have changed the outcome, as I would have been forced to retake the bridges held by my opponent, and I would have sustained many more losses than I actually did. I will retry this scenario later on during the weekend, and I'll force myself to be more aggressive. On the other hand, the Mechanized Rifle Regiments were slaughtered! I lost 4 Leopards and an MG. To reiterate my posts from the last few days: the game is solid, fun and immersive.
