No. I was quite disappointed in that. I thought Falcon 4.0 was very good, but it lacked the "personal" touch of being a pilot in a squadran rather then just any one of a dozen pilots fighting a war. quote:
ORIGINAL: flanyboy Does Falcon 4.0 have something like that? I always ignored the AI pilots in Falcon 4.0. quote:
ORIGINAL: ekcut Thanks for the suggestions! Falcon 3.0 was the first game I played this way. It was the first game I played in which your AI buddies were more then just cannon fodder. You could set up a mission and then lawn dart on takeoff and your wingmen would continue the mission, maybe even successfully, they would bomb targets, shoot down planes etc etc. If I recall correctly they had 3 ratings. Air combat, ground attack, and flying skill. This ratings would improve as they survived missions. They also got fatigued so you had to man manage them and sometimes take lesser pilots to give your studs a rest. The thing I thought was most clever, you could send them to wargames, and play with them in practice mode to improve their skill. If they got shot down, no biggie, as you don't really shot at each other in wargames, but if they pranged on landing or had a midair collision then they died in your campaign too. I. LOVED. THAT. GAME! Anyways, Nelmsm said it best. There is nothing like playing the game with the goal of keeping your buddies alive!
