Panzerldr -> Combat Air Patrol (10/19/2013 5:32:13 PM)

Hello All,
I have a question regarding missions in the mission editor. I set up 4 reference points (RFP'S)on the map and entitled them CAP 1 - Cap 4. I left these RFP's highlighted and used the create mission tab and set up the mission and selected aircraft. The planes flew to the far edge of the patrol area which was shaded in red and then started to fly within the box. I had assumed that the aircraft would head to the first RFP in the list, i.e. Cap1 and fly them in order. So my question is do they just fly into the patrol area and then establish their own pattern?

Thanks
Andy

They patrol in the zone in a random pattern, i usually give them a two RFP mission to make them fly in a orbit around these 2.

Thanks for the response.

I tend to create the box with very little width. Just enough so I can move the RP's when I need the CAP to move.

That way they tend to do the up and down a line thing rather than fly a big box.

You can actually create missions with only one or two reference points.

What happens in one creates a mission but does not give reference points? When I created an air patrol mission like this, the planes flew towards the target area.
