Hi Guys, Fantastic game...REALLY Enjoying it.(Loved the NATO/WARSAW games from back when NATO Commander was new out on the Commodore 64!!). Just a quick question. Have dived in to the Campaign (NATO side) and after completing the first scenario and transitioning to the second you are presented with the option of spending victory points to replace destroyed units. I get that, however the option to spend several hours recovering fallen out units...apart from obviously moving the clock forward for the next scenario, what other effects are there? I have the option to spend up to 11 hours recovering those units, and as NATO has better IR/Thermal gear I am tempted to spend 5 hours recovering some of my units. This has the effect of shifting the start time to 8:00 PM... I am hoping this will degrade WARSAW air (as in Helo's) and also give my units an advantage in combat. However, is there not some penalty to delaying the action?
