Stratos_MatrixForum -> Edit a random game before it starts? (10/25/2013 10:01:45 AM)

Hello, I like to play random Games, but will also like to make them more close to my tastes, so my question is, how can I edit a random scenario before it starts? I want to be able to do this:

- Erase/Add cities and modify the map. Also rename the cities If possible.

- Change the participant factions and rename them.

- If possible limit the technologies that will be available during the game.

Can someone please show me how to do that? Will really give more life to my game.

Thanks in advance!!

Just press the Edit button instead of the Start button ...

But can you tell me how to add/erase cities and how to limit the technologies resercheable please?

Thanks!

It's all in there ...

The old ATWW2 editor documentation is quite good, it's in the Manuals folder. Be prepared to take some time learning though.

I solved how to erase/add cities and other types of map locations, but I can't find how to limit the technologies available for research. Will really like to see some help with this.

Thanks.

Go to regime and the option to have at start tech is there. Not sure how you would prevent them from researching new techs though.

I don't have the game up at the moment, but if I recall correctly, there's a button to multiply the tech costs on the main editor screen. You could hike that up, and then edit the specific techs/level you WANT the AI to have ...
