bluth -> Question about a "Shadow War" scenario (10/28/2013 12:44:46 AM)

Hi,
I'm really enjoying this game (even if i m new to naval wargamming) !
I was wondering if it was possible to create a randomized anti terrist scenario like the CIA strike in Pakistan or the American shadow war in Phillipine.
A huge area of operation with a lot of drone bases and ground strike aircraft that require you to strike ennemy camps or to send special forces via helo, i would really like to play that !

But the main probleme is the troop transportation system, it is only possible to move troops via a teleportation sytem scripted in the mission editor, we can't juste load or unload unit or am I missing something ?

And is it planned to add that to the game ? It would make that king of scenario much more interesting

Thanks for answer and thanks for the great game !

Hi Bluth

Yes for now you have to use the event engine to move troops. Further on down the line when we implement a deeper land combat model we'll add the ability to transport troops.

Sounds like an interesting area of simulation. I too am interested in the use of SOF units, reconnaissance of land based targets using drones (data feeds), patrols, OPs. It would be interesting to have to not merely locate targets, but to remove ambiguity, between CIVPOP and HOSTILE which HUMINT would possibly have greater success than pure SIGINT.

Exciting stuff! [:D]
