In the picture is there anyway to select and/or highlight an attached unit (the 38 IAD A/B in this case) actually on the map because there doesn't appear to be. To say that it's irritating is to put it mildly. If there is I take it all back, if not then there should be (again said mildly).

I believe you could do that from the commander report.

When on the map, press Shift-Z then select the HQ. You will see lines running to all subordinates. Does that help?

Click Show Subordinates. Click x,y location of said airbase on the Commander's Report that will show up. This will open the map and select the unit you want to find.

Also, I'm not sure about it, but doesn't clicking on the base name display it's Unit Details window that when closed will show the map with that unit selected?

Thanks. Yes you can do all that but that isn't what, and this is my opinion, you should be able to do is select the unit on map from this screen.
