Contacts are jumping whenever they emit but are solid when only my radar is illuminating them.

Have seen this behavior before. Please see attached save.

The contact shows up because it is being detected by your forces. It jumps around because they don't have a hard fix on it's location. So it will jump around while they try to get a hard fix. When you light it up with radar there is a solid fix on the contact so it stays locked at the detected position of the radar ping. It also alerts your contact of your radar emission position. So expect to get your radar taken out. It the contact jumps while your radar is on, it is most likely using Electronic Counter Measures to stop your radar from getting a good fix.

If you look at the save game, you can see that my radar is always on and I have a solid fix on the target.

The problem is that whenever the target ship emits, the contact jumps.

This looks to be a bug in the game, possibly related to how the engine prioritizes/process contact information gathered separately from ECM and active radars.

Is this still an issue with B678.3? We did a thorough rework on AoUs which should drastically limit this.
