The patrolling Jake lost power and crashed onto the flight deck of the Enterprise. Of course the brig has free wi-fi and they let the Japanese pilot keep his Ipad. He posted videos of the TF on Youtube, including one of the Enterprise's ship's kitten adorably playing in a cereal box and of course, the damn thing went viral. With 20 million hits in 18 hours, and the GPS on his pad. Pretty much everybody in the world now knows where the American TF is. The rest is history...

I generally see this happen after an invasion of an atoll or other base, like Batan Island as in the linked thread. I've seen it a lot recently, as I've been taking lots of Bullwinkle's islands away from him. I'm sure I'll see it from the other end a whole lot in a year or so.
