This may have already been ask. I haven't tested it myself and I know it isn't fully implemented.

Is it possible to transfer weapons from one base to another e.g. simulating a line of supply using supply aircraft or replenishment ship?

I hope I've explained myself.

IIRC you can do this, using an aircraft as the transport. You just have to make sure that when the aircraft reaches the destination base it switches to another loadout, so that the stores are transferred to the base and not left hanging on the aircraft.

Really? Can this be done in ANY scenario or only those that have Transport aircraft. That is, if I have one base that has Hornets, but no strike munitions, but another that has falcons, but has plenty, I can load up the falcons, fly to the other base, offload the munitions and they will appear in the bases magazines? Perhaps I read this incorrectly.

Yes.

You can also simulate that transport aircraft are dowloading ammo to a new base... itīs a little complex but itīs doable:

a) You create a new ammo pad in an area where you are not going to play, so if the scenarios takes place in Europe, you add the ammo pad in New Zeland...

b) You add the ammo that the airplane is going to carry...

c) You create en event that when the cargo aircraft land the ammo pad is teleported close to the base...

d) In game, if you want to use that ammo you will have to "group" that ammo pad to the base...

You will have to add as many ammo pads as cargo missions you are planning....

Thanks for that.

Related question/comment...

I hope eventually the databases will include something like a 60/60 or a 120/120 quantity for all weapons, drop tanks, etc. Enough for a squadron for a day. Some of them only have 2/2 or 4/4 quantities and I'm not sure Command "likes" it when I have to add 100 or so weapon records to a magazine at an airbase. :) It sometimes freezes up on me when I do that. It's not critical, but I think it would be an improvement for both databases. Thanks.

We don't currently enforce drop tanks or sonobouys so you can let them go.

In terms of missing weapons records if you see one that doesn't have a 0/10000 entry let us know and we'll get it in there.

Does this actualy work? I tried to do this a couple weeks ago but had no luck. [:(] Is it a result of the new build or was I just doing something wrong - a very likely happening..

What about replenishing ground units?

smudge56 -> RE: Supply and replenishment (11/14/2013 7:43:55 PM)

Good question can you do that?
