VTFL -> Salt Lake City resources (11/13/2013 1:33:22 PM)

How are resources from locations such as SLC moved to places where they are needed?

Automatically.

To expand on Bull's...sparse...reply:

The resources move from Salt Lake using the US transportation network (road and rail) to centers of industry on the West Coast (Seattle, LA and San Deigo mainly)

I applaud any and all newbie questions. In some areas of the game I often feel that way. But I find if I'm thinking too much about Salt Lake City inevitably I've left something undone. [8D]

What the heck does Salt Lake city produce that's such a vital resource anyway?[&:] Salt? [:D]

The arrival of vast quantities of Emergency Reinforcement materiel. [:)]

North America has the best developed rail network in the game. Whatever is needed tends to move around the rail network automatically with little trouble. You will find the large West Coast ports piled high with everything you need within a couple of months.

The Bingham Canyon mine is nearby. Copper...a lot of copper.

quote:

Over its life, Bingham Canyon has proven to be one of the world's most productive mines. As of 2004, ore from the mine has yielded more than 17 million tons (15.4 Mt) of copper, 23 million ounces (715 t) of gold, 190 million ounces (5,900 t) of silver, and 850 million pounds (386 kt) of molybdenum.

Don't ask me what molybenum is, but it sounds like a scarce resource the Axis would crave. [;)]

wegman58 -> RE: Salt Lake City resources (12/28/2013 5:25:49 PM)

Molybdenum is used for some steels and was known in time for World War I. High tensile steels (as in armor plate).
