A JDAM is a non-propelled free falling object.
How is that difficult to hit?

I didn't know anyone could shoot down a JDAM. Can a SAM attack one?

Newish, high maneuverability SAMs like the SA-15 and SA-22 claim the capability. There's nothing magical about the target (JDAM or other PGM) in this instance, other than it is physically small, typically moving quickly (including near vertically), and doesn't have much of a signature. That's what makes it a challenging target.

I would think that if a AGM-62 Walleye could be hit while falling towards it's target, that a JDAM would be fair game also. I've seen video of a Walleye enroute to it's target being repeatly nailed by 20mm. Link below, whether it was the same as the link I don't know.

Hello,

Please provide more details or even better post a save. Type of missiles? Type of MiGs? Type of JDAMs? Other circumstances? Which build? A complex simulation has a million parameters for something happening (or not happening).

Not possible... Jaybird = STT and one/two missiles to this target even if the radar could see a missile this slow, it would not be able to shoot them down.

Hi! Thanks for the patience! this can help? small test scenario whith the b2 raid in the hot zone and the jdam's easy intercepted! this time from mig29, thanks for your work, and sorry for my english!

I tried the scenario and I lost 3 jdam's i also lost the B-2 but did blow up the palace and the reactor, Is that a good trade off a B-2 for killing blowing up fatty Kim house?

For me, is a good trade, but i think in the reality the B-2 can be destroyed in a short range attack whith thermal imaging guidance missiles from the mig29,the problem are the jdam's, (and you are lucky with only 3 bomb intercepted, maybe the problem is that the Jdam in the game are "missile" (the icon with "M") and not free fall bomb "red icon")
