IronManBeta -> School Teacher Campaign Released! (11/26/2013 12:31:51 AM)

OTS is pleased to announce that we have just put the finishing touches on a brand new campaign in time for T(h)anksgiving. It features the West Germans versus the Soviets in a seven scenario campaign called "School Teacher".

Authored by the redoubtable Mad Russian, the campaign features mostly small-size scenarios and puts great pressure on the NATO player to survive to the very end.

Download this zip file and unzip it into your \Modules\FPRS\Campaigns directory. Restart the game and you will see it appear as a new campaign choice.

Bon appetit!

Enjoy, Rob

budd -> RE: School Teacher Campaign Released! (11/26/2013 1:31:16 AM)

Thank you Sirs, needed a campaign of smaller scenario's.

Mad Russian -> RE: School Teacher Campaign Released! (11/26/2013 1:54:32 AM)

Most are smaller, some are shorter. In the end, the total playing time for this scenario is 94 hours. Not long. Many of them don't have large OOB's and are shorter. Hopefully, the campaign will fill the lower end niche for smaller/shorter scenarios and a bit longer campaign.

In addition, some of these battles are extremely TOUGH! We'll see how you all fare with them. I think there will be some replays of this campaign to get decent results.

Good Hunting.

MR

The scenario briefing for the first battle...is just a list of formations? Not that it matters--go to the VP locations, kill stuff, but....

We can check with MR.

Mad Russian -> RE: School Teacher Campaign Released! (11/26/2013 1:24:44 PM)

The scenario briefings for the campaigns don't fill in. Except for the first scenario. I just put the units in to make it more uniform. I want to change it where the briefings are full briefings for all the scenarios in the campaigns.

I tried to give a better overview of the scenarios in the main briefing this time.

The missions are, as you say, pretty self explanatory. If you start with the Victory Locations in your possession, you defend them. If you start with the VL's in the Soviet possession or neutral you go take them.

Still working on the campaign briefings and how best to do them the way it currently works.

Good Hunting.

I am new to this game and was investigate the Campaign an Scenarios and have one question about this Campaign.

All the scenarios of this campaign are started at the same day on 25-7-1989 at 12:00 hour.

This look a little strange to me. The schort description say a different thing.

CapnDarwin -> RE: School Teacher Campaign Released! (7/12/2014 2:08:02 PM)

Harry,

I believe, and Rob or MR would need to correct me here, that each scenario shows the same "start" date because the campaign starts on day and time "X" and the timing in the campaign is dynamic and the follow on scenarios will start at a variable time based on the length of the played scenario and the amount of depot time taken to reconstitute your force.

Thanks for the fast replay.

This mean that the start date/time of the first scenario of the campaign only is used and the rest depends on the result. Sounds logic to me.

The campaign battles are determinant on the results of the battle you are currently fighting and the refresh time, the damage you take in the process.

Good Hunting.
