dragoniv -> stars out of turmoil issue (1/23/2003 9:33:02 PM)

One more item to add to the patch list. :) Normally, when a star comes out of turmoil, you get a message about it. Generally, this is very helpful, especially if you tend to blitz a single enemy on 5+ resource planets over 1-2 years--because, once you're done, 5+ planets are now in turmoil. Now, I don't know about you, but I'm big on stealing those from my enemy--I'm generally not interested in destroying their route and giving it back to them (or someone else). But...in a large galaxy, they don't tend to stick out. With all the switching between local and galaxy views, you'd probably miss out on a planet coming out of turmoil if you didn't get the out of turmoil message. Guess what--more than occasionally, espeically late in the game when there are always multiple systems in turmoil, I've found that planets will spontaneously exit turmoil stage without posting a message. At first, I thought I was just missing the messages--but time and again, I've seen stars go back to normal in real time, with no messages....one second the red X is there, the next it's gone...and the next, it's now back in the hands of the Kimshaars. Was that done to make the game easier for the computer, or just an oversight?
