Numdydar -> OT- A real world analysis of Sealion (11/28/2013 7:25:17 PM)

From my friends over at thw WitP AE forum is this. [:)] A really good look at what a historical Sealion would have looked like.

I have a simpler version of what it would have been like for your average German soldier[sm=fighting0083.gif]

That's those few that made land of course - I suspect the majority would have drowned...

Here we go again we all know HMS Warspite could have stopped the invasion without any other help [:D]

I wasn't actually referring to the Grand Old Lady, but now you come to mention it [;)]

Say there, warspite1... Not to belittle the "Grand Old Lady", but I must confess my admiration for the H.M.S. Hood. An aesthetically pleasing vessel, and understandably the pride of the Royal Navy. Of course this can be contested [:D]...

Some have suggested that an immediate invasion in July would have produced success. This claim derives, ultimately, from Guderian's claim that it would have been easy at this time. This, of course, is the same Guderian who claimed to have been the first German to reach the Atlantic coast during the Battle of France. This claim was made on reaching Noyettes, on the Channel coast.

Zing!

HMS Hood was your classic beauty - slim, delicate, gorgeous - an Audrey Hepburn
HMS Warspite was your classic good time girl, full of figure, bags of fun and been around the block.
