Thank you! Just in time for vacation!

I also have the problem of Hyper Deny not activating. It seems to work on Bases but not on ships.

Re-Downloaded the 19012 beta.
Did a fresh DW install updated to Shadows.
Patched to 19012 and clicking Play does nothing. (Have to turn Off ZoneAlarm or it disables the install due to a Trojan detection as mentioned above)
Revert to 19011 with the Launcher updater, Play now works normally.

Any ideas whats going on with 19012?

I'm guessing you re-enabled ZoneAlarm once you'd installed the update? If so, it's likely that it's blocking you from running the game for the same reason it tried to stop you installing it. As I mentioned earlier, you need to tell your AV to ignore DW (or disable it whenever you run the game, but that's not advised.) Probably best to tell it to ignore the entire DW folder to be sure there aren't any DLLs it doesn't like.

For ZoneAlarm users:

1 Choose 'Computer' view details
2 In 'Anti-virus & Anti-spyware' select 'Settings'
3 At the lower right select 'Advanced Settings'
4 From the list on the left of new dialogue box choose 'Exceptions'
5 Then click 'Add' on the lower right
6 Click 'Browse' in the next dialogue box
7 In the file locator window find your offending DW file and select it - then click 'Open'

Your DW file should now be excluded from checks by ZoneAlarm

Edit: The offending file for me was the downloaded zip file: DistantWorldsShadows-update19012.zip

Edit2: If the file is 'quarantined' then you need to 'restore' it from that area. After you have done so, follow instructions from 1 above.

Now what. The PC says it cannot access the file
Fixed
My anti virus was blocking it.
Even after shutting off the Anti virus it still keeps coming up and saying there is a problem.
Annoying.

I had the same problem, ZA AV will have deleted the file, you'll likely have to reinstall the whole thing. In my case, I always keep a back-up of the current release version, so I simply had to restore from my back up, without having to reinstall from scratch.
