SSN754planker -> [FIXED B478] Crashing in B476 (12/10/2013 10:24:53 PM)

Im playing the Sakhalin or Karafuto community pack scenario. Playing as Japan. Scen starts fine, but when Japan's AAW patrol launches (about 10 minutes into the scen) it locks hard and i have to go to task manager to shut it down.

Ive replicated the behavior three times in a row. Kept the scen at 1:1 time and using coarse mode (hi-fidelity turned off)

Not even getting the bug report window..just a hard lock.

From what i can tell, it seems like it may be a problem with the scenario?

Can anyone else using B476 try this out?

Having the same problem - locked up and ctd with no explanation

dandin384 -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/10/2013 11:43:16 PM)

Same here, crashed exactly 10 minutes in with only 6 active units, tried again with the same result.

I'll upload the autosave as well, just one DDG and two SH-60's hunting three subs, run the clock for about 10 minutes. (I used 1 min time acceleration)

You might try going into the editor and making sure it using the most current database. That solved my issues on another scenario.

dandin384 -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/11/2013 12:07:51 AM)

I'm using the most current public database.

Sorry guys.I've reported this and let our programming team know that multiple users are experiencing this.

I just tried it and couldn't get a crash, but some bizarre stuff is going on with the clock. It jumps up by an hour sometimes and accelleration isn't working. I assume this is a sign of it being unstable.

SSN754planker -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/11/2013 2:53:29 PM)

I had crazy stuff going on with the clock also, even in coarse mode. The crashing was what i was looking for though.

thewood1 -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/11/2013 2:58:09 PM)

I ran it for an hour and had a lot of wierd stuff. I am going to open it in the editor, re-save it, and see what happens.

thewood1 -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/11/2013 3:10:41 PM)

No joy in the editor or in re-saving. It runs 15-30 min. game time and then runs at 1:1 no matter the setting. All units seem to come to a stop, regardless what the speed shows in the data box.

Dimitris -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/11/2013 6:34:30 PM)

Thanks everyone! We nailed this in Build 478.

SSN754planker -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/11/2013 6:53:38 PM)

Sounds like great news! TY for the quick response! Now waiting on B478!

thewood1 -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/11/2013 7:58:47 PM)

Same thing happened in Hold the Line v1.01 community scenario...timer keeps timing at 1:1 regardless of acceleration setting. Also, all aircraft have stopped moving. This seems to happen consistently in scenarios larger than 1000 units. Save attached.

mikmykWS -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/11/2013 10:22:31 PM)

Guys we released a patch tonight to address this issue. If you can please give it a shot and let us know.

Thanks!

Not fixed sorry [&:]

thewood1 -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/11/2013 11:36:42 PM)

Before the patch, I tried it on a couple official scenarios and had no issues after a couple of hours game time. I'll try the patch now.

Maybe I spoke too soon, I have managed to get Hold the Line to run after a second restart of my PC.

Also managed to get my Syrian scenario to run too which also has over 1000 AU and the entire Syrian IADs modelled [:D]

thewood1 -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/11/2013 11:55:37 PM)

I ran it for over 15 minutes real time and over an hour game time and no issues...great job.

SSN754planker -> RE: Crashing in B476 (12/12/2013 12:36:36 AM)

Working for me now, no crashes. Awesome job devs!
