Jim Stevens -> aircraft data (12/20/2013 6:38:02 PM)

Have anybody published a guide to aircraft data taken from the game? Yes I know you can display the information in the game but sometimes for me it would be handy to have a reference independent of the game so I don’t have to flip between game screens. Thanks...

I believe in Tracker there is a feature where you can compare the numbers and in-game data of any two planes against each other.

While you are on the subject of aircraft data. I would like to point out that for the Japanese aircraft, the Naval Institute Press has an excellent reference available titled "Japanese Aircraft of the Pacific War" by Rene Francillion which gives pretty much every detail of most every model plane built during the war. I refer to it just to add entertainment value, although I have found some errors in the game with it. They are minor... for example, in the campaign game, the Mitsubishi Ki-46 III KAI model enters the game in 7/42, when first units of it actually weren't even built until 10/44. While the game armament does shoe the 37mmHo-203 cannon, it is missing two 20mm Ho-5 cannon in the nose and adds the 7.7mm Type 89 MG, which was actually deleted. Furthermore, the game shows it using the Ha-33 1289h.p. engine, when it actually used the Ha-112/II 1500h.p. engines.

Anyway, it's a great reference.

I love the game, by the way ![sm=Cool-049.gif]
