I do not know if this bug has been reported earlier. Running 1.0.7 on NetPlay. During the surprise impulse, Germany port strike Leningrad and get 1 destroyed, 1 damaged and some aborted. After Germany chooses the first ship, the game could not proceed to the second ship selection by USSR. We could not do anything but close the game down.

We than tried to restart the game from an autosave. This did not work. We checked game and entry numbers so that they were the same, but NetPlay did not initiate the saved game for us. We did try several different saved games.

I and my friend are getting very bored at this now. It is one thing the game frequently crashes but if we cannot restore saved games it is no point to even try playing anymore. Sure, we can play the first few impulses until the game crashes but if we cannot restore an autosaved game when that happens, the first few impulses are all we ever are going to play.

I am abit frustrated, having spent a lot of money on a game that should have undergone more testing before release, but foremost, since I really was looking forward to the release. From Matrix games it cannot be a very good marketing either to release a premature game. Rumors will start to circulate about a buggy game and start affecting sales.

Can you attach the two saved games (one from each player) to a post? I would like to look into this.

This past week I ran a port attack on Leningrad with multiple results (2D 3A) and had no trouble with the Allied side choosing its target (the second target). Or the Axis side choosing the 3rd, 4th, and 5th - using surprise points to choose the 4th target. Maybe it has something to do with whether there are surprise points available (or not).

We could not save the game when the problem occured. The messange "game cannot be save at this point" (or something similar)
came up. The German side used all suprise points to increase their naval damage, all Points were used for this I think.

Please also remember that Matrix clearly stated before launch that there were known issues with Netplay and it would take some time to get them all fixed. So please keep that in mind.
