grenadiers have a higher initiative than pionieres 1. Good to have pionieres and grenadiers in the infantry mix. Usually have more Pio's by the time Russia comes up. 2. It is good to have a mix of infantry and tanks. Think in terms of battle groups. Combined arms is the key. 3. ATs are not much use in offensive actions which is what the campaign involves. 4. I don't leave a unit in every objective vs the AI. Usually just the most forward objectives and that is not for too long. 5. The Ju87 is a good tank buster. I use them to great effect. Sometimes its not the knockout blow but it reduces entrenchment level of the enemy each air attack / arty bombardment. 6. Experience is going to be key in the later scenarios. A 1-2 star unit wan't last long against some of the allied 3-4 star units you end up seeing. Think of your objectives and form battle groups to achieve that end. I usually like to make 2 battle groups that start with inf/tanks/arty and end up adding a recon and AA before reaching Russian front. Air power wise I get 2 ftrs and 1 tac bmb early on and end up with 3 ftrs and 2 bmbs later on. Air units are expensive! By the Stalingrad scenario I have 3 battle groups because of the large map. One more thing, though you are past the Norway scenario, the JU88 is a great ship killer aircraft. Get one if needed.
