Hi! I'm new to Distant Worlds, and loving the game so far [:D].
One thing, however, bothered me right from the start: the nebulae in my opinion are far too dark, and look more like clouds of soot to me than interstellar gases.
Maybe somebody already made a mod that changes their appearance, but I couldn't find one.
So I made one myself and would like to share it with you.
I experimented with a lot of different colors, but none seemed right to me. At the end I decided to just make the existing images brighter and soften them up a little.
They're far from perfect, but I think they look better than the vanilla ones. Maybe you'll like them too [:)].
Just extract the images in the attached zip file into the images\environment\nebulae folder of your Distant Worlds directory.
